Hello again!
Today I'm very crafty.. and as I have to go back to Turin today, and my 250 km are waiting for me, I thought I could spend my morning doing something amusing. I have enough time to study in 4 hours in the train .
For this reason, I had inspiration from this blog. Trixi made her owl look really like an owl, I made some mistakes, and thought I could make some indeterminate animal.
She filled it with rice, I will use it as pencil case. I filled it to take the picture.
I hope you like it.

I will not sew, make things with fimo, etc for another week, friday evening I will be here again.
Again, the picture is bad because of the webcam.
Have a nice day!

Owwwwwll

Hello!!!
I woke up today, and since I'm home (after two looong weeks in Turin, and after my English Literature Exam) I could make the project I've been thinking about for a few days.
A colleague of Roberto asked if I could make a puppet for her granddaughter. So, I looked ik a few blogs, because I didn't know what kind of puppet I could make. Then, I saw this fantastic and adorable owl byKatie of Skunkboy Creatures. This was my inspiration to make my own owl.
I made his eyes, heart and beak of fimo. The beak is just a little too big, but, for being the first time I am pretty satisfied. This is the result :
I know it isn't a good picture, but I forgot to bring my camera with me, so I had to do it with the webcam.

The fabric is from Ikea, I love it..
This afternoon I am going to see "Romeo + Juliet" for the fourth time in 5 days.. Ahah!
Bye!!

A few photos..

Hallo!
I haven't had time in these days. That's because tomorrow I have the English Literature Exam.

But these month I did a lot of funny things..
My roommate and I made fantastic Pizza :

We ate it with her cousin and our friend Andrea.

We had just two bottles of wine, and a slice pizza, but we had sooo much fun!!

Then, I went to the cycle track that we have close to the sea, with Roberto and my parent, it was funny 'cause Roberto and I went with the tandem, and I had so much problems with riding it.

And when I was alone at home, here in Turin, I made cookies!!

And saturday Roberto and I went to the Ikea.. I bought a lot of colorful fabrics ^^

I'm looking forward to see my parents again, and also Miele, I miss them..
I'm going back to my books..

Bye =)

Fimo Cupcake Tutorial

Hello!
Last week it was mu mum's birthday. I made a Fimo Cupcake for her. And I thought I could make my first tutorial on it.

First of all, the material.
Fimo is a polymer clay. It is used for making many things, including jewelry, accessories, and small trinkets. Once shaped, Fimo is baked in a standard or toaster oven for about 30 minutes at 110°C to harden it. Once baked, it can be cut, drilled, painted, sanded, and sliced thinly. (source Wikipedia).

1. First of all I made the base. You have to choose the colour, I chose "peppermint".

I have some cupcakes moulds, so it was easy for me, 'cause I took one of them (they are made of silicone), I flattened the Fimo and I put it into the mould. Like this:

Then you have to make the border flat (I haven't done it -.-). And you can put it into the oven.

2. Meanwhile, you can begin to make the funniest part, de real cupcake with its decorations.
you have to choose the colours again. I chose "lavender".

You have to flatten it, and make a circle, just a littlebit bigger than the base.

Then, you have to take another bit of the same colour, and rool it up, then put it like this on the flat circle that you have just made:

Be sure not to leave any holes ^^, except for that hole on the top, where you will put a cherry.

3. The cherry. I obviously chose red for the cherry, but if you want you can make it of another colour. I made a little ball, just as big as the hole you have left and with a knife i made a little hole, like this:

Then, I took "lime green", made a very thiny roll, and put it into the little hole.

I wanted to add some decorations, so I made little rolls with some different colours, cutted it and put it on the cupcake.

Finally, I put everything in the oven.. (meanwhile, the base had finished his baking time).
And after half an hour..
Here it is!!

I hope you'll enjoy making this little cupcake.. Leave a comment with a link to your blog if you want!
And.. this for my mum I made real cupcakes!!

Tomorrow I have a lecture at 8 a.m., maybe I'll have some time to make new thing with Fimo =).

A cupcakes Froggy!

Hi!!!
I am attending a course of English Literature, and, of course I am studying "Romeo and Juliet" by Shakespeare. Now I'm going to watch the film with Leonardo di Caprio, to have an idea, and to see how different the book and the movie are (even because I think the movie takes place in time period, doesn't it?). Well, and do you know the song, the soundtrack "Kissing you" by Des'ree? I love that song! You can find it --> here

I had a wonderful weekend back home, Miele has grown so much, but she also bites!!

I made colorful cupcakes, and next weekend I'm going to make a lot of them for my mum's birthday..

Saturday Roberto and I went to the cinema, we saw "Up", it was so much fun!!

Ok, I have to sell my old books, and I'm going to study History..
This evening I am planning to make something for my mum's birthday with Fimo.. mmh.. I need ideas!!
Bye!!!
